Hello again. Hope you guys have something fun planned for summer. Almost here. Thanks to those of you that sent kind words along about Back To Life. Poured alot into that album. As I mentioned before, maybe poured a little too much as I've been feeling a bit burned out. When I retired from video games and started this music journey, I kept an xls sheet that had all my tasks for the next day - what tracks to work on, what mixing to do, mastering, editing, lyrics, etc. I basically supplanted my old job with a new one! Maybe not the best approach...
I'm going to just step away from doing music in June. In July I'll be in Greece. In August/Sept. Jen and I are moving. So at some point in that timeframe I'll be tearing down my current home studio setup and getting it put together again in a new house. So I know I only post here or on social media once a century or so, but I'm just saying you'll hear from me even less for the next few months.
I have one more album to do. For those that don't know, most of these songs are old songs I am redo'ing. These three albums are basically my greatest hits of songs I've recorded since the 1990's. I don't really count Perspective EP, that was just a test to see if anyone would even listen. So the three albums are Fade Away, Back To Life and the next one...probably called the Last Song. And then that might be it for me putting out music publicly. It's never been about growing a following or making money. It was just getting my...life's work? in music up there in the cloud so if some distant relative or someone just wanted to know what I was up to in life, they can listen. And if any of you out there also vibe with the music, then that's cool too :)
Again, I appreciate the supportive messages you guys send. I definitely know there's a lot of folks who just listen to Trust and that's perfectly fine, but I really appreciate you guys who take the time to listen to a bunch of my songs. And I'm guessing that sort of person is a person who will check out my website - so thank you.
I'll be back to putting together the last album in the fall. I'm not going to do the crazy excel sheet timetables this time, so no idea when I'll be done. Certainly in 2027 at some point. In the meantime, I have a few songs that didn't go on Back To Life and other assorted b-sides sort of stuff I'll upload in the next few months because why not. Have a good summer guys, don't forget to enjoy a slice or two!

Hey guys, weird old guy who likes pizza here again. I wanted to write a quick apology. I know I'm a terrible follow. I hardly engage in social media because I'm a wuss, I don't post here enough, I haven't played live shows yet (although want to - at least in Seattle). So just wanted to say sorry. Also, I've been getting alot of messages on Insta/Messanger lately, no idea why. Maybe Insta is sending out my reels more or something. Anyway, as yet another thing I suck at, I don't reply much, but just wanted to say I hear you, and thank you so much for people's comments on the music. And if you are going through a rough spell, yeah, my whole life has been that, so that explains my lyrics/songs! Hope things pick up if you are riding that low.
On the music front, Back To Life album is set for release later this month. I was definitely toying with this being my last album for a while (I'll always make music - it's a drug for me, I'm dying with a guitar in my hand...and a slice?). In my retirement from gaming I've been treating this quite like a job and I've notice a bit of burnout. But I have another album in me, just might take a bit longer. Then maybe I'll call it quits for awhile. As always, thanks to you guys, especially if you check out this website. Not many do, so I appreciate you. And again, sorry it's a stupid wix template that looks awful!

Hey guys, weird old guy here again. Don’t Wanna Know is my new single live now on streaming platforms. Added to lyrics section as well. I’m posting a new video here of a song called Rememberance. The original 1995 version has been on my SoundCloud for a while. I played a bit of this in my very first video here (the stupid nervous Alex talking one) as an example of my classical roots. This is me finally getting around to redoing it. It’s got flubs, starts/stops, mistakes, but left it all in there cause I don’t like starting and stopping the video recording and well, I suck. Anyway, hope you guys are well, if you’d like, check out previews of the next single “Snow” and b-sides in the discography section.
In addition, below the Rememberance video is another video showing the original version of Looking For My Heart in demo form (full video down below, was my first song in progress video) and the current version. I like how this one turned out, and even gave it the number one spot on the new album. If you check the discography you may notice I've added more songs to the upcoming album. Look for preview vid in May. Pizza!

Added Song In Progress video above. Added Tabs and Discography (See links at top). You can always hear whatever the next unreleased song is in Discography.

Quick chords video for Trust. Got a number of requests on tab. I am looking into adding a tab page on the website and a lyrics page...so hopefully soon'ish. Also included a video that isolates the four main guitar tracks and I solo the tracks randomly so you can hear the guitar sounds - plus the hidden guitar I have in there. I run a Les Paul (neck pickup) through a Mooer GE 200 multi-effects box and for rhythm guitar I use preset 3 (Black Jerry) and for the meandering solo guitar I use preset 35 (Hot Lead).

Hey guys, the weird old guy is back! Trust is live now. Next up is HIM. Ever think someone is really awesome, intelligent, fun, pretty or handsome, but they are dating an absolute neanderthal? Yeah, that. Um, the photo is an old joke photo of me where I tried to look like Ben Stiller from Zoolander.
Also, I remembered to turn on the camera while working on some new chords. This is unedited stuff, so all the mistakes and clunked chords are in there. This is how I work on stuff. Usually I'll try different a bunch of different takes on the structure/chords/melody. Only one out of every ten songs or so make it out of this phase. So if you must listen, enjoy the crappy playing. As I always say, my songs are crap anyway, don't listen!
I'm especially disturbed that I scratch my face at exactly the same time?

Sorry I get nervous on camera! Video update this time + a bit about myself and origin of the songs and what's coming up. Plus the usual horrible humor.

Go listen to Fade Away or Winnie will drive to your house and stare at you!

I'm a musician living in Seattle. I have a little home studio in one of my bedrooms where I do all the work. I write pop/indie rock songs. I wrote many songs in the 90s and 00s, but then stopped as I started a career in video games. Worked as a producer for 20+ years. After the last company I worked for folded, thought it was time to finally publish some of my old songs.
Not gonna lie, my songs are nothing special. I would encourage you to listen to better written songs than these. However, if you are a bit of a loner and/or weirdo like me and somehow vibe with any of these songs, well, there's always a spot for you.
Also, I love pizza. You thought you were having something else for dinner, but after reading that line, you know it's going to be pizza right?
